With great excitement we introduce Viridis Strategy Group as the new identity for our firm, which you have known to date as Esty Environmental Partners.

Viridis, which derives from the Latin verb vireo — to be verdant, to sprout — expresses our refreshed outlook on the future. We believe more strongly than ever that forward-looking sustainability strategy drives company transformation and growth.

We, and our teams in Boston, Washington, and Sydney, remain committed to providing superior management consulting services to corporations. Our deep knowledge of environmental challenges and solutions, combined with decades of experience working with extraordinary clients, enables us to share unparalleled expertise with companies that seek to create value through sustainability.

A signature of our refreshed firm is new emphasis on actionable business solutions – such as systematic approaches to innovation, goal setting, and communication — to meet the needs of the rapidly evolving sustainability market. Viridis will also continue to use the systematic eco-business frameworks and approach originally based on the insights published in Green to Gold by Dan Esty and Andrew Winston. And we will again convene our annual Sustainability Innovators Working Group in 2012/13.

The Chairman of our original firm, Dan Esty, became the Commissioner of the State of Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection in March 2011, where he continues to develop market-based energy and environmental management approaches.

We are delighted with the opportunity to work more closely with a network of thought leaders and advisors, such as Steve Ramsey, former Vice President for Corporate Environmental Programs at GE; Andrew Winston, co-author of Green to Gold and author of Green Recovery; and David Lubin founder of the Palladium Group and Renaissance Solutions. In addition, we are fortunate to have the backing of angel investor John McCall MacBain, successful entrepreneur and Chairman of the European Climate Foundation.
