The Viridis Environmental Scorecard™ is an easy-to-use tool that helps you benchmark your company’s environmental sustainability program against others in your industry based on best practices. The Scorecard is a core element of Viridis Strategy Group's analytical/diagnostic process and has delivered valuable insights to many of our clients. It identifies gaps and opportunities that can help you refine your company’s environmental strategy and improve sustainability performance. We are now pleased to offer a web-based version of the Viridis Environmental Scorecard™ at no cost.
Viridis Strategy Group developed the Scorecard based on the comprehensive set of sustainability best practices first presented in the business classic Green to Gold: How Smart Companies Use Environmental Strategy to Innovate, Create Value, and Build Competitive Advantage (by Andrew Winston and Viridis co-founder Dan Esty). Along with the newly published Green to Gold Playbook (Dan Esty and P.J. Simmons, 2011), the Viridis Environmental Scorecard™ serves as the third component of a powerful analytical and executional trio.
Upon completion of the survey, you will receive a customized report (like the one below) presenting your score against those of other companies in your industry. In addition to an overall score, the report provides your sustainability program’s performance in three critical areas of sustainability execution:

The survey takes approximately one hour to complete; depending on your organization’s size and other characteristics, you may be asked up to 105 questions. Upon completion, you will receive a customized Viridis Environmental Scorecard™ Report, along with information about how to interpret it, demographic data on the companies in the Viridis database, and answers to frequently asked questions.

- The online data collection tool and automated scoring system are hosted on a third party’s servers, under the supervision of Viridis Strategy Group.
